I suppose I am very naive. I have always believed that in the United States our objective was democracy and that all should vote, but it seems that many believe that it is politically advantageous to make it more difficult for some to vote. If we need to have a voters photo id, then lets do it. Let us have a uniform federal id. Let us make it as convenient for all to get one as possible. It can be done during the next census. The federal government frequently goes around to neighborhoods to count everyone. Supply them with cameras and voter registration forms! I suspect that many would rebel against this. I suspect the motivation for many is not to make it easier for all to vote, but to make it harder for some to vote! The lowest 10%! Those who dont really matter! Those that arent going to vote for your asinine policies! Or for you! Voting is not a sport in which only those who are most motivated or most willing to jump hoops qualify. Voting is a right for all! Let us do everything we can to make it easy and convenient for all. Rich and Poor, Young and Old, All Races, All Religions, All Americans!
