I suppose it was inevitable in some point in my life to have a Halloween dream. If there are any dream analysts among you, you might take a stab at this dream I had two nights ago. I was in a one story building, standing close to a locked set of double doors. Suddenly, a huge beast was at the door...at first I thought it was a large dog, but then it took on the form of part dog, part werewolf, and maybe a bit of demon because it spoke to me. It put its mouth at the bottom of the door where there was a bit of air space and said to me, You are going to feel my teeth. The weird thing is, I wasnt the least bit scared or worried. The beast stood up on its hind legs. It was huge, teeth showing, an evil scowl expression, and saliva drooling with every sound it made. As the seven-foot, hideous monster looked threateningly through the door window panes, his fangs ready to tear flesh through his dagger enamel and his demon eyes flashing, what did I do? Did I run? Did I scream for help? Did I call 911. No, I raised my arm and gave the beast the finger. That seemed to enrage the beast even more, which should have given me second thoughts, but it didnt. Instead, it gave me an arrogant feeling of satisfaction that I had made the beast angrier and repeated the obscene gesture. Like a giddy kid playing a hide and seek game, I ran to my bedroom where I remembered there were patio French doors wide open. As I closed the doors, one of the creatures dog like, smaller minions raced around trying to get to me, knowing that the beast could not be far behind. By then I woke up. Now you tell me, have I been watching too many TV shows with cocky ghost busters and demon hunters, or is there some other insane psychology going on?
