I suppose this is okay to post here. Its basically Needles history. What Im looking for, and have been for over twenty years now, is a banknote from Needles. The Needles National Bank of Needles, CA issued their own notes between 1893 and 1895, printing roughly half the amount other banks of its size issued, for a total of $14,950.00 in all issued during those three years. A small number of $20 brown back notes were issued dated 1882, though it is estimated none survive. Most notes were of the $10 brown back denomination dated 1882, in which maybe a dozen are thought to exist. The banks charter was 4873, which will be on the notes as well. Below Ive included a sample picture of the note design. The Needles note will of course have printed on its front The Needles National Bank and below that Needles California. Im willing to pay $500 cash or so, depending on condition for anyone that has one. I figure there must be one somewhere in town and my collection feels empty without it.
