I suppose viewing PBSs League of Denial: The NFLs Concussion - TopicsExpress

I suppose viewing PBSs League of Denial: The NFLs Concussion Crisis was not the best way to raise spirits for todays big game, as it highlighted a much tragic and hidden side to the decline of health in many football players lives as a direct result of playing the game, and the subsequent denial by the NFL for the purpose of profit at the expense of human beings. With that said, would a player choose not to play knowing the full consequences if laid out by the NFL? Of course not. Each player possess a passion for their game and as human beings we are often short-sighted in our vision, not comprehending the true extent of what we do today with our bodies, our minds, our hearts, and our soul will lay the foundation for how we will be living tomorrow, in that moment. Someday the future will be today. Choose wisely what you do today. My excitement, though, is not fully diminished. Just as boxers enter the ring and know the full scientific link between what they do and the end result of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, these players today are aware, cognitively, or what they are doing. And hopefully they will not have to pay the full price that inflicted the players that were highlighted on the documentary. Not to be a downer on such an exciting day for our team and our city, I will end this with a #GoHawks!!! All eyes will be on you today and I am wearing my jersey with pride!
