I survived 9 months of cleaning out (not done as I got sidetracked), 6 months of construction & painting.... I finished all of the painting that I can do before the wedding, when I finished painting the walls going up the stairs. I used 10 cans of SW Emminence ceiling paint, 13 cans of tinted HGTV paint. I currently have paint pads, paint rollers & paint brushes with ceiling paint & wall paint in plastic bags in the refrigerator....the carpet survived without too much of a color change. My 25 year old, cat clawed held together with clear packing tape & blonde cat fur shed all over it family room furniture has a few dots & smears of ceiling paint. I can barely clutch my wine glass & coffee mug, let alone lift them to my mouth because Ive aggravated my joints. My hips & knees & ankles remind me that I once was a great (well maybe not) athlete in HS. Replacements someday? Tomorrow I scrape paint off of the woodwork going up the stairs, as well as the hardware on the rails & on the front door. My door is painted too!!!! I hope I can wear my silver heels to the wedding & walk as I do....gracefully.
