I survived the dentist again this morning. I thought he was - TopicsExpress

I survived the dentist again this morning. I thought he was drilling to Africa with my top back tooth. My head was so hurting on the head rest but I dared not move for fear he may slip with his drill and go through my cheek. The injections keep me numbed and feeling groogy for the rest of the day and my cheek swollen. I dont know if anyone else has thoughts when going to a dentist or such, but I try and plan my appointment after he will have had morning coffee. Not on a Monday as he may have a hang ova from the weekend. Not late afternoon as he will be getting to tired etc I also try not to go in the summer as its too hot. Not too early or late in the morning as I am not quite feeling in a right frame. 9 30 or 10am is good as I can then meet Graeme for coffee just around the corner as I deserve a treat after all I have had to suffer even if I have to suck my coffee through a straw due to numbness and swollen lips. Afternoon is not good for me either as I am getting to tired to tired to cope ! As I lay in the chair trying to convince myself how much younger I am going to look with my new look teeth my mind is telling me to stay focused ....on the word of God. All I could get was, He has called us to become more than conquerors ! Finally my dentist has finished and all six foot 7 inches of him smiles down apon me saying, thats all for now I gratefully stand up feeling triumph that I have survived the ordeal and with a grateful heart that I could afford to even get to a dentist. I am definitely more than a conqueror....... until the next time!! Kia ka ha !!
