I swear Bangkok hospitals are getting as bad as the British NHS! On calling to make an appointment, the nurse asks, Aa you pegnan? Upon my replying in the negative she says briskly, Okay, neck appointment 8 July. Hmm. So, if Im preggers, I get seen to right away but if Im not, I can just curl up and die. There is some unbeatable logic in here but, for the moment, it escapes me. Nurse ka, I say winningly. If I pegnan can waiting doctor ka ni mon (nine months) a-haan. If not pegnan cannot waiting na! Oh my Buddha. Well, it worked, dinnit. Im here, innit!
