I swear, I really want my daughter to take part in her school - TopicsExpress

I swear, I really want my daughter to take part in her school social programmes. But Im also tired of being a pawn in private schools End-of-the-year party rackets. Last year, I paid N5,000 and all she brought back as present was two sticks of lollipops and a plastic cup ostentatiously disguised as a food flask. I made a mental note of the thievery. I was wanted to flip but restrained myself. Last term, I paid N7,000 and was forced to sit through a Pentecostal torture of an event where teachers punctuated every statement they made with amen and praise Jesus. I sat there confused, thinking if I had sent her to a convent instead of a secular private school. Well, Just like the previous event she brought back a cheap China-made stainless steel flask and those hideous and sugary lollipops again! On our way out I saw parents and kids from other schools going home with bags full of quality toys and other amazing stuff. I took the pain to ask one woman how much she paid for the event: N4,000! I got home and said: Didi (her pet name), you would not attend next end-of-the-year party at school. Those kids we saw on our way back got good toys from their schools and their parent paid less than I did. So enjoy your lollipops and net term I would take you out and buy something better than lollipops for you. So when it was time to pay school fees this term, I deliberately refused to pay the N7,000 charged for the party. Earlier today, I got a message that her school didnt give her a clarence card because I refused feed their thievery this term, meaning she would be sent home from school tomorrow. After paying tuition and other fees? Hell no! Amadioha will fire somebody there today! I grabbed my phone, called the head teacher, and gave her a piece of my mind. I made sure I was very blunt. I told her I think the school is ripping parents off. I also added that Im not paying and she should be ready to pay a refund of the tuition for everyday my daughter was stopped from attending school. Fear catch the woman! She quickly promised to give her the card immediately. Nonsense!
