I take no pleasure in knowing that I was 100% right about the two music venues that appeared out of nowhere in Exeter, put very limited funding in place to give them a viable infrastructure, and who didnt listen to advice from experienced professionals, and as a result, both are belly up within half a year. I sat patiently reading people who Id advised to be cautious jump in with both feet and proclaim to the world how fantastic these venues were. Well, theyre both gone now, and I am not surprised. Perhaps in future when people ask my opinion, theyll realise that I actually know a thing or two, and, better than most, I can smell a rat a mile off. I genuinely feel sorry for Sam Holloway tonight, as he has been completely shafted by the looks of things. I may have had my differences in opinion as to how he does things, but theres no doubt the lad put a lot of effort into his endeavours at one of these so-called venues to make things work. When I procure the funding for my arts centre in East Devon, there will be no stone unturned.......
