I talk here a lot...not 4 de fun of it...nor is this a complaint abt de vulgarity of de nouveaux riches of de ruling few in de African continent...abt their houses de size of hotels...whilst de whole continent live in de dark...(((low electricity)))...their mistresses with improbable lips n their birthday parties costing de budget of a country...this is an old lament...ancient Romans n Greeks complained abt de conspicuous wealth of Crassus n Croesus n de methods they used 2 acquire their wealth...de poet Harace deplored de tonnes of marble wasted by de profiteers frm Rome on building their holiday villas out over de Bay of Naples ...my purpose here is not 2 launch a polemic against de personal avarice of de ruling few in Africa...but rather 2 identify de tendencies of a bad leadership...a tendency that had gathered such momentum in recent years...n 2 try 2 identify de historical factors which have let it happen...only when we understand how we got here can we hope 2 work out a route 2 a better place...acquiring big personal wealth with ur ppls resources as a leader is an ignorant behaviour...especially when ur ppl r suffering...this is not a natural extension of capitalism or liberal democracy...it is not de case that de leaders in all de advanced societies r living large so let me do de same...cut ur coat according 2 de needs of ur ppl...why cant u think n reason like educated leaders?...why destroy a society with ur wants?...why cant u mould n shape ur society 2b a true advancing nation...instead of a wasting one?...r all de sport cars n jets necessary 4 ur now developing environment?...do u even have better roads n good airspaces 4 them?...r u thinking or dreaming?...well do not worry...it is not too late 4u...u can correct ur ill-literate mistakes borne frm watching too much Rap music ...u can view n review ur society frm 2day n make it strong...a step at a time with de right mind guiding u...exercise sustained determination n ingenuity...reversing de pernicious trends...it can be done...it is a feeble form of fatalism 2 suppose that de African style of capitalism cannot be reformed n regenerated so that it benefits de many rather more n de few a good deal less...this is de only fashion we have 2 engage 2 save our continent...de intellectual fashion
