I taught a student for the first time today that restored my faith - TopicsExpress

I taught a student for the first time today that restored my faith in the youth of today. He was a great sight-reader (though this is not what made me happy), but he also had a book of Legend of Zelda tunes with him (which got us talking about Zelda, but not for as long as you might think. See! Im growing up!). I expected him to have played Skyward Sword and maybe the DS games, but, no this kid is around ten years old and hes played and beaten A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and also has extensively played Zelda II on NES and Majoras Mask. I was glad to hear that kids still like Zelda. I was afraid that it was no longer relevant with the youth of today. It also helps that he was a great student that listened well and played with mindfulness of articulations and dynamics, which is really all that should matter to me. *sigh* Forever twelve...
