I teach High School now. Today a young man brought me a journal written to him by his mother just days before she died in October of last fall. He wanted me to read it so that I could see why he is so determined to do well. He said he wanted me to see how much she loved him. I know because I too love my daughters more than they will ever be able to even imagine. This journal, though only about 6 pages long, was written specifically to him. Each of his siblings received their very own journal from their mom. I pray each day that others can see God in me that day. Today I saw God in this young man and in his mothers testimony about her faith in a loving Lord. With tears streaming down my face I can actually say that I have happy tears. Tears of joy that this young man has such a carefully written, loving, handwritten letter to him that he can use to gather the strength to move forward even without his mother now... through tough times and amazing times. WOW. So thrilled to be there for him to share this with me. WOW
