I tend to do this excercise when I need advice, perspective, or uplifting. I dont always have a friend or family member around to talk to and seek guidance from, and besides....I know that I must find our own path, my own answers, and my own convictions- in my own time. I seek them in my own way, so I do not cloud my judgement with someone elses perception of my reality. This is how it works. I type in a phrase that I think is relatable to my current situation, and I look at all the quotes that come up about that phrase. I read them. Sometimes, articles come up. I gravitate to the ones that pull me in, and glance over the rest. I read what I am drawn to, even the ones that make me uncomfortable...because the truth is harsh. I keep an open mind and read through them....and like magic, I find exactly the answers I was looking for. The words unclog my brain and suddenly the thoughts are moving freely again, connections are made and re-made, and I can resume my life without becoming stuck mentally. Ive found this to be extremely helpful in my own Reality. I have also noticed, admittedly, that when I have the strength to read something I dont necessarily find palatable...even if it is the truth, it sticks in my mind longer, and teaches me, in different ways- everytime I am reminded of it...exactly what I need to learn. It helps me grow. It helps me stay humble and accept what I needed to accept, and that growing pain helps me advance. Between figuring out want it is I am feeling, and what it is I am thinking, I write about my experience. This helps me see what has become of all the words and ideas I let inside my mind. I form my own thoughts and opinions. I continue living. A rolling stone gathers no moss.
