I think Episode #53 was so well written and was peppered with humor and the struggling between the General and his Empress. Although the Empress could literally dominate the General based on the imperial rules and laws, but deep down, she knew she could not as the General sometimes openly resisted her and tolerated her. There were things that even as an Empress, she could only follow the lead of the General when facing the love between her and the General... When the Empress and the General began to sit and down and eat their breakfast after selecting their items from the variety of tidbits laid before them, the Empress like to continue to chat while eating, the General would rather prefer to eat than talking. In between each bite, the Empress kept chatting and asking the General questions, the General to some extent was annoyed by the Empress. But of course the General would not dare to tell the Empress to just shut up and eat her stuff, but the General would show some irritating facial expression here and there, the Empress saw that, and as a woman, she got it and so she quieted down just a bit! Then when the General finished the first dish, he stood up and walked to get the second selection, the Empress still had half of her plate full, but the Empress also stood and walked to the end of the table and said, Look, these are the good stuff here, try this! So the General walked further up to the end of the oblong marble table, as the Empress showed the General that good stuff, the General used a pair of chopsticks to pick it up and put it in his mouth, the General then said, Yes, it is good, what is it? The Empress then shook her head and said, I dont know, I just found it to be tasty and I never bother to ask the imperial chef! The General then laughed at the Empress as they walked back to their seats. Then the Empress said, the celebration would be held the day after tomorrow and of course the Empress said tomorrow she would be occupied with the performance review with the male officials the whole day, but she would be free in the evening and the night! The General still chewing his food but he thought he got the message from the Empress that she wanted the general to arrange something to do in the evening after she got off with those male officials the whole morning and whole afternoon...
