I think Facebook should have an Amazing Button. This LIKE thing, sucks, when it comes to something that floors me, that sends me reeling into the night, that sends me careening to my knees, and LIKE, that pallid button, feels so wrong, when it comes to Marvel, which is where I am at, now, and have been at, for the longest time. And when, something major happens, what then happens, is people walk on by, or give me a look, or simply ignore what IS happening, as if invisible should also be a button on Facebook and everywhere else. Because I AM recording a Story and that Story is not only beautiful, but is about Poetry, about LOVE, and I can say, in all this time, I can count, on five fingers the number of people who have said to me, Ruth, your poetry, your soul, your music, deeply moves me. And I can say this. Because I can say anything I want, because my life is so visibly, and totally, about, The Music. And I will say, the most Amazing Thing of ALL, is how it is, something so beautiful can be so missed, and how people I have known for so long, have never once, said anything at all to me, about that content. So I say, youre all like Washington Irvings Rip Van Winkle, asleep. And when you WAKE, then maybe, WOW will hit you like it does me, and you will kneel and say, I never saw any of this, how could that have been. AND NOW, THE GARDEN. THATS WHERE THE MUSIC HAS BEEN ALL ALONG. THE GARDEN. And when she goes to the T.D. Garden she feels it, those echoing reverbs, and for weeping, theres nothing like this, for that knowledge. THAT song. And she says, Thank You for bringing me to this place at this time. Granada. Thats where I felt Washington Irving. That beautiful place. O Granada. Pome and Pomegranates, and a story that winds its way, like smoke through all my days, through my waking dreams and my sleep.
