I think I found why the word Climate Change ticks me off. The word - TopicsExpress

I think I found why the word Climate Change ticks me off. The word is redundant. The definition of climate: “Climate is a measure of the average pattern of variation in temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precipitation, atmospheric particle count and other meteorological variables in a given region over long periods of time.” The statics may include long periods of time but the variations and variables that get observed are the small average changes in a region. It’s like saying we will be driving down the road highway today. When the North East climate starts to become tropical then I would say with certainty that climate changed drastically but that’s what would have to happen to make any sense joining those words together in the way I used them. The North East is seasonal meaning the climate in that region is seasonal. If the weather changes abruptly, storms and such have no meaning because weather is not climate.
