I think... Individualists do not grasp groupthink. And I think groupthinkers do not grasp individualism. There are those who think in terms of a collective, or in terms of society as a singular entity.... and those who feel that society is made up of individuals, and that each can do without the other... Im not sure the two types of thinkers are even capable of understanding the other point of view, speaking purely for myself as an individualist. It doesnt make sense to me to limit the rights of people as a whole for the actions of a few individuals, for instance... you deal with the individuals on an individual basis, rather than creating sweeping rules for everyone based on the idiocy of a singular or a few... Or to put it another way... If Tim does something dumb.... you dont punish Sally for it. You deal with Tim, and because Sally had nothing to do with it, you leave her alone.
