I think Ive figured out why political correctness has never quite sat well with me. Its because I dont like name calling. This may sound like a contradiction, but if you really think about it, it is not. If someone exercising their right to free speech points out that they disagree with a popular ideology, or makes a general statement describing their interpretation of events or attitudes, they are not pointing a finger at any particular person and calling names. ...but almost always, in response to these politically incorrect statements, people will point their finger and call names. You sir, are a bigot, a racist, a misogynist, a hypocrite. ...and make accusations. You hate the poor. You hate immigrants. ...and so on and so forth. It seems to me that political correctness in practice is nothing more than a justification for rudeness and political censorship.
