I think Ive figured something out about season five of 24. President Logan seems like an unlikely end-game villain for Jack at first. Bumbling and indecisive where Jack is confident and effective. He panics and makes multiple mistakes where Jack keeps his head and is almost always right. From first appearances, Jack should have been able to figure things out from the get-go and easily put a stop to Logans shenanigans. As Ive been watching this season, I kept coming to the conclusion that Logan was pretty much my most hated enemy from 24. Cant stand him, hes so damn evil. I couldnt figure out why he was such a good villain, and then it hit me. Hes the anti-Jack Bauer. Despite every wrong move, failed plot and defeat he suffers at Jacks hands, he simply will not go down. Every moment it looks like hes been beaten, he turns it around and returns from certain death even stronger than before. I also think he was the shows version of W.
