I think Ive found a new favorite crystal!!! These Hackmanite specimens have been sitting in my desk all summer and I just now experienced their super-awesome color change properties. Hackmanite has an extremely rare color effect for a mineral called tenebresence. It is light pink or a pale, grayish color when kept in a dark place, but when you expose Hackmanite to sunlight, it changes from pale to vivid violet before your eyes! Best part is it can change back and forth again and again. I put them back in my desk to see how long they take to lose color. :D
