I think Ive found the welding combination! I stopped at Harbor Freight yesterday and picked up some 1/8 6013 rod. My beads with the 3/32 rod werent as nice as Id like, especially with heavier sections. So, today, I cranked the amps up a little....still not running the whole 90....and tried the 1/8. Being significantly stiffer, its easier to control, and heres the result of the center plate attachment to its support angles for the passenger truck. I need to work on keeping a steady speed, but it almost looks like I know what Im doing now LOL
