I think Ive made the perfect doggy treat. Ive told you before how I zap American cheese quarters in the microwave. They come out like crackers, crisp and chewy. Well, I found some white American cheese, cut it into quarters and put them on parchment paper in the microwave. They puffed up really big, then fell, and thats when you watch carefully. When you just see the hint of browning, turn off the microwave. The whole process takes less than a minute. When they were done, I peeled them off the parchment paper. To my surprise they were about 2 or 3 inches in diameter. How something starts off square and turns round is for greater minds than mine. I gave one to Flash, who thought he was the MOST fortunate dog in dogdom. It was cheese. Plus, it crunched. Plus, it was only a quarter of one slice. Win, win, win!
