Unfortunately, when some of them do, its only to suck up the praise & glory! We have one of those here who ran for City Commissioner with a Wink & Whisper campaign and won. Then when he ran for re-election, some challengers did a mailing that OUTED him, he was re-elected and then marched around carrying the Diversity Banner and proclaiming he was an Openly Gay Elected City Official. Maybe the 2nd time after he was re-elected, but certainly NOT the 1st time. He doesnt hold public office anymore, but hes still a Gay Elite pain-in-the-ass that poisons any LGBT Organization or Event hes associated with...
