I think Mary Walker is the first journalist to out the fact that Marinda van Zyl, the author of Wilhelmina Radebe kom tuis, and I are cousins. (I have mentioned it on facebook, but it has never been reported before.) The joke is, we did not know it either - until last year that is. We met, because of the book, and one day, while meeting about the book, we figured out we had the same grand parents. How is that possible, you ask? Simple.
