I think The biggest problem for conflict resolution in Cambodia now lies with election process that came into being without agreement among the political parties. It could be said that the Cambodian National Election Committee itself is not sufficiently comprehensive, as it did not address the grievances of those political parties and societal groups who are outside the political framework. Therefore, to effectively resolve the conflict, we should go far back to the Reform of the Election Laws which were requested by UN or form the Independent Committee in order to inspect the election irregularities. Failing to address these issues, the political crisis will be in the long run. In addition, Cambodian people should bear in mind that wars occur between waring parties who contest an incompatibility. The nature of incompatibility can be caused by the government who uses arm forces to promote its position in the incompatibility.
