I think Zeke may have an infection somewhere. I managed to get him up in a stall this evening. And I kept getting a whiff of it. It is definitely NOT colic. He is eating and pooping good. He just isnt acting like his normal self. He seems a bit listless and keeps turning around in circles. He had an injury to one of his ears a week or so ago. But I can not see that it has gotten infected. Unless it is down inside his ear? His ear is not swollen. But if I can examine him tomorrow during the bright daylight, hopefully, I can find where the infection is. And get him on some antibiotics ASAP. Carl Brown is coming out in the morning to do some feet. So I wonder if he would like to be a bit of a donkey wrangler. Zeke is not a mean boy. Just timid. Not trusting of people. I dont know why. Hes never been abused here. Sigh....I just wish EVERYONE would love them up when they were first born. And they would be a breeze to care for. Like Skeeter and Daisy. Well, maybe not as clingy as Skeeter. But easy to manage at least. I do believe I am seeing some response on Melodys neck area. But her ears remain pretty bad. Due to the fact that she does NOT want her ears rubbed down. But I got her good this evening with the MTG. Especially her ears. Much to her chagrin.
