I think a spiritual journey is not so much a journey of discovery. Its a journey of recovery. Its a journey of uncovering your own inner nature. Its already there. When the faith is strong enough, it is sufficient just to be. Its a journey towards simplicity, towards quietness, towards a kind of joy that is not in time. Its a journey that has taken us from primary identification with our body and our psyche, on to an identification with God, and ultimately beyond identification. The spiritual quest is not some added benefit to our life, something you embark on if you have the time and inclination. We are spiritual beings on an earthly journey. Our spirituality makes up our beingness Life is a journey and its about growing and changing and coming to terms with who and what you are and loving who and what you are. My journey is so similar to everyone elses journey, because we all are human. We all have been defeated by the powers of darkness, and we all find redemption in the light of Christ.
