I think, as years roll by, for many of us, God comes out of our Holy Books and starts living in our hearts... He becomes real, His presence meaningful... Also, for many of us, it becomes clear as to why God has nothing to do with our respective religions - our temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras, synagogues etc. Moreover, it becomes strikingly clear to us as to why God has nothing to do with our wealth, power and position... Yes, the God on the mountains is still the God in the valleys... and, the God in our good- times is still the God in our bad-times... I am a Christian. But, every time I pass by a temple, mosque or a gurudwara, the silence, the hymns and the prayer there give me the same goose bumps which a hymn in the church gives me... True, the God in the church is still the God in the temple, the mosque and the gurudwara… The longing of the heart knows no religion… and it becomes easy to anchor in God… Today is a Sunday. Lynda Randle has, always, been one of my favorite singers… I listen to her hymns just as I listen to a beautiful bhajan or the soothing hymn from a gurudwara… So, with loads of reverence to the God in our hearts, here I present one of Lynda’s beautiful renderings – ‘THE GOD ON THE MOUNTAIN’… Hope, you will like it… Have a wonderful Sunday...
