I think continuing to tell Black Men to fight for their children - TopicsExpress

I think continuing to tell Black Men to fight for their children is an oversimplification for a larger problem. Why should a man have to fight for something he helped to create? We werent fighting him during conception right? So why are we fighting him during cultivation? We tell Black Men to fight as if we are his allies when we know we are going to double team him. He has to fight against us and the system WE put him in. So hes blocking blows from both of us. We literally have him bloodied and up against the ring. So we want this bruised and broken man to present himself as victorious to his children. We know that Black Men have to fight against INFLUENCE! The influence of a bitter mother is extremely powerful. Mothers manipulate the automatic loyalty that children naturally have towards their mothers. Having your child every other weekend can NOT combat the bitter influence of a mother. Instead of telling Black Men to fight how about we as Women fight our bitterness so we wont be his opponent, but see the Father of our children for who his is, a major component regarding the development of our children.
