I think he is talking sense. Terrorism by muslim fanatics is bad and so is the silence of peace loving muslims. The former must be condemned and latter should be questioned. But to make a general statement that the religion itself or all muslim countries or all muslims are bad is somehow stupid. When the religion is attacked then even the good muslims who want to condemn fanatics and reform religion also feel hurt and withdraw to silence. This generalisation is weakening the spirits of that population. And this applies to followers of all religions.
