I think it goes without saying that if you are a doctor and you - TopicsExpress

I think it goes without saying that if you are a doctor and you fly half way around the world to help treat a deadly virus and you happen to contract that virus, you dont intentionally bring that virus to a part of the world that has never had that virus. I know doctors say it is a high unlikelihood that anything could happen to spread the virus here. But if everyone who has potentially come Into contact with the virus is quarantined and left in that part of the world, there is no chance that the virus can spread to here. Any likelihood, no matter how small the chance, is unacceptable, and though I know they are just trying to save these two doctors, it is unacceptable to me that this would be allowed into the United states. This is a lose/lose situation. If they are unsuccessful, and the unlikely happens Americans are potentially put at risk of contracting the Ebola virus. If they are successful and treat these doctors successfully, it will undoubtedly open the door to bringing others infected with Ebola to America for treatment, which eventually a high unlikelihood becomes a higher likelihood each time it is done. They are playing with fire here and no matter what they say people are being put at risk. If treatment options are not available in africa, make them available in africa. Send these cocky doctors who are willing to put us all at risk and tell us to trust them to Africa. But for Gods sake..... leave the virus in Africa. It would be a tragedy if this virus accidentally made It Into America. We have people who work very hard to keep this out of our country and now we are going to very intentionally bring it here?
