I think it is *BECAUSE* of and not despite the wide variety of amazingly complex life on this planet is why I have never doubted the theory of evolution (1. Every idiot thinks theory means hypothesis. Theory means the idea has undergone thorough tests with enough corroborating results that a theory is the best idea we have of what is true until something new we discover changes that, 2. this is not about God not existing or not creating the universe, a lot of creationists go with science, but postulate that a God initiated those processes, thats a TOTALLY different discussion, so now that the parentheses disclaimers are done...), there is so much commonality. Eyes, noses, mouths, teeth, livers, lungs. Even fish, crustaceans, and insects have an anatomical blueprint that has all the fundamentals covered. Because this planet is 4.5 billion years old, it seems utterly, completely logical that the type of life this planet is capable of supporting would mutate into ALL kinds of different things. We just ended up being the species thats smart enough to be stupid and ignorant about scientific truth.
