I think it is profoundly imperative that we listen to our political figures (government, rebels, and former political detainees) to understand what went wrong in our country…..that claimed thousands of lives. It is also critical to identify where it all went wrong. This could allow policy makers to define problems in order to provide meaningful resolutions of ways of solving these problems. Hence, a normal and honest informed political discourse over essential issues is needed to enhance relationship among tribes to normalize relationship, and ease fear, and tension among citizens. Dialogue or talk is something government needs to encourage, and it is the learned intrinsic responsibility to advance. Just like Dr. Majak D’Agoot, I would like to hear from other South Sudanese politicians. Dr. Majak began his tours by setting his records straight, outlines issues as they build up at the early stage of 2005. He debunks coup allegations, cited cases of corruption, and footnoted, and cited where they collectively failed to deliver mandates and promises to South Sudanese citizens (as leaders of South Sudan. He cited issues over push convention after convention, and how these cumulative issues went to unmitigatable stage, and exploded. We, as citizens need healthy talk and discussion of these problems more, while politicians engage in meaningful dialogue....for this could advance democracy, and healthy discussion of real issues. This is only way we can reduce military options, rebellions, or escalation but it award citizens, and politicians sense of belonging to one country. I would recommend that the government sends their delegation to speak with diaspora. However, if the government sees this as an incitement, than they probably have a long way to go. The truth is THE GREAT GENERATION fought for liberty, justice and equality, BEARDED IN TODAY South Sudan Coat of Arm and they must be upheld regardless of citizens and leaders’ tribes and believes. I also recommend that we give ourselves time to learn more about our politicians. I just learn that Dr. Majak had served in the government for one year, and half at the height of higlig war, oil was shut down, and austerities measures were introduced...he cited these as reasons why he failed to transform SPLA into professional and conventional arm. With these reasons, he debunks corruption allegations that were leveled against him. All politicians need to come out clean, or citizens will start to weed them out based on their performance and deeds sooner than later. It is good to start to attack to eliminate sense of entitlement by our leaders, and politicians. Honestly, they all think entitled to serve in the government forever, they all think, they are entitled to public funds, they all think, they are entitled to declare war and entitled to kill, arrest, destroy private property, and mobilized citizens to kill themselves without repercussions. They have all accomplished these because we support, and help them destroy the future of South Sudan, and we should all be ashamed of ourselves.
