I think it is time for some introspection. Yesterday I posted an image about Eleanor Norton, the DC Delegate to Congress for the past 21 years. I am appalled by some of the feedback we have received and saddened by the examples of shallow-minded division that have been Americas downfall, keeping the people of this country too divided to stand against the corruption in our government. I even received feedback from one of our own state leads about how racist and partisan the image was. When I look at that image: I see a member of Congress who was busted for not filing taxes for seven years. The same taxes that Congress continuously shoves down our throats and we are expected to comply to without hesitation. I see a member of Congress who was caught on tape using seniority and authority on a Congressional committee to pressure lobbyists into donating to her campaign. I see a member of Congress who apparently feels that the government is above the People, rather than servants to the People, and the People have no right to know what they do behind closed doors. I see a corrupt member of Congress, who like so many others, has relied on a broken voting system to stay in Congress for far too long. If YOU look at this image and see a black person, then you are part of the division that has made the People of this country powerless. If YOU look at this image and see a woman, then you are part of the division that has made the People of this country powerless. If YOU look at this image and see a Democrat, then you are part of the division that has made the People of this country powerless. Standing together, We the People of the United States of America, have the ability to overcome the atrocities in the federal government. We the divided, by party, by race, by gender, or otherwise, will continue to be abused by the corrupt career politicians ruling our country. Now it is up to you. Look inside and decide.
