I think it was Cher who wrote the song, If I could turn back time and man its crazy what those words meant to me up until a week ago. I was so focused on correcting mistakes that I had made and it seems each day I wake with a new epiphany. My first of those was the realization that..there is no correcting mistakes. They are called mistakes for a reason. Perhaps you can do something to prove yourself greater than your mistakes but there is no correcting them. The past..will stay there you can rest assured. And it will characterize you so long as you let it. For years it hasnt necessarily been my past, so much as my families, that has plagued me and showered me with misfortune. However, recently I guess I have turned a new leaf, so to speak. I have my flaws as all Others do, but I wholly believe that I have been put here for something better than I am displaying. Do I know what it is? No. But I plan to begin finding out. Little by little and day by day. Having a new and absolutely AWESOME support system is wonderful as well, and Im sure it has been placed here as a sign that there is more to it than what I have settled for. Living in the past has blurred my vision for the future, and Im finally beginning to see again. There is no going back. Only pressing forward and focusing on that to achieve what is far beyond expectation. So if you could turn back time, would you?
