I think it was in 2010, while driving home from photographing The Californios in Reno, that, after more than five years of intense traveling funded by pulling money from my day job and using credit cards to buy the cameras and computers i needed, I was out of money. I couldnt travel anymore. On that trip, as if a gift from an angel, the idea of raising money by making my photo archives accessible by a subscription fee of $20 a year popped into my head. Though not a popular idea with many because no one else was doing it, enough people understood why I needed to do that, and were happy to help me stay on the road. Because of their support I was able to continue traveling!!!! Then a couple of years ago i opened the archives up to free viewing and explained to the subscribers that their subscription was no longer required to view archive photos, but that i would still be thankful for trip expense support. Today I want to THANK the many trip fund supporters who are still there for me!!!!!!!! Every time I fill the gas tank, rent a motel room, or have a meal on the road, you are making it possible! In turn I try to document the Great Basin Buckaroo culture the best I can for your enjoyment.....taking probably about a million photos so far before editing....I never forget that I travel the long roads with the support of so many friends.....I truly couldnt do it without you!
