I think it would be great if we could post current old Polish - TopicsExpress

I think it would be great if we could post current old Polish Arabians (especially stallions) that are ALIVE and accessible in the U.S., that others have had good experiences getting semen for breeding with--2015 is just around the corner! We also need to see correct show-type conformation, legs, action and stallions that excel in type, legs, heads, clean throatlatches, level toplines, etc., as when looking at the older horses, now deceased, I see so much there that we do not have available in the U.S. anymore--and Im thinking of old Polish, not Polish w/domestic lines that have excelled in the show ring at halter--bred by the Poles. I like to use GBEs conformation drawings to point out what we all seem to prefer, yet dont see winning these days in the show ring. Legs especially--still want that versatile Arabian look we used to call the breed standard years ago--show halter years go by pretty fast--then what? I still think the test of an Arabian is both at halter and in performance (even the floating trot has gone by the way after all these years)--to prove the stamina and shape the horses to breed on with--not to just win at halter as a halter horse--a horse is worth much more if it can win at halter and in performance--and breed those characteristics on. I dont recall if *Kwestura is broke to ride, but I would think she would be--though at the price of over $1MM, she is probably treated like a queen and not ridden since she is so valuable. And *Kwestura winning Gold Champion Mare at Halter at Acchen, Germany, at the All Nations Cup, this year, at 19 years of age no less, should prove that those who love the Polish Arabian horse need to kick it up a few notches and seek out the best stallions and mares to breed to each other that still have the old bloodlines in them.
