I think its a good move to try & bring awareness to violence on campus but I disagree with the sketchy method. I have yet to take this training course. I think its an unnecessary invasion of privacy that 1) doesnt make sense if theyre not using this data for anything & 2) although claims to be anonymous, isnt. Its just a way for the university to be able to sweep future allegations under the rug because they mandated a training course so technically theyve taken all the preventative action necessary. Maybe Ill get in trouble for disagreeing, who knows. All I know is its kinda odd & they should have to provide the legal standards for us taking this. Any lawyer friends of mine or employees of other universities have anything to add cuz there could be something Im just not getting?
