I think its cool that the ice challenge is bringing awareness, and getting people to donate for a cancer foundation. Chemo however feels different for different patients. Some people are fine, some people arent. I remember one of the hardest conversations I had with mom was when she told me that she wasnt going to go through with chemo. After talking with doctors, they said it could potentially give her more pain, and only give her an extra month or 2( but she would be living with more pain than she was in now) They werent sure how her body would cope with chemo therapy. Last year I did a boxing fight for Canteen and we got to spend time with patients (teenagers) living with cancer. We raised just under 40k. What they go through on a daily basis is nothing compared to what we go through. Im proud of those who donate, small or large. If you can donate time though, do it, it will open your eyes to what they go through. All I ask is Support where you can, props to those who survived and to the families that go through the struggle with them too.
