I think its no secret, judging from how much I post their stuff, that Im a huge fan of the birthday party. It was my favorite thing, IMO the best thing that Nick Cave did... and I love Nick Cave, all of his stuff, the bad seeds and Grinderman. It was also his heaviest stuff. The Birthday Party isnt for everyone. Some people straight up hate Nick Cave (Well, not this guy) and company. I highly doubt the screeching alt grunge of the nineties wouldve sounded like it did, if not for Cave. I believe nick caves ground work/influence in vocals and lyrics AND musically come through clearly in many of the mainstream rock, pop, industrial, dance, goth, metal, numetal of the last thirty years from marilyn manson to pj harvey to even (ugh) Gotye....
