I think its outright silly and downright stupid to imagine that matters affecting a head of state has no bearing to the nation he leads. Uhuru Kenyatta , so long as he is President of Kenya, cannot have public interactions that are personal. His ICC issues took a national dimension the moment he became the President of the republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces. It may not be Kenya on trial at the Hague, but the head of state of Kenya, who is the national symbol of unity and national convergence, standing scrutiny anywhere - the Hague court included - is a matter of national importance. Reminds me of one of Mutahi Ngunyis article in early 2003 about Kibakis health after his accident in the run up to the previous years election. He reminded Dr.Dan Gikonyo - upto then Kibakis personal doctor - that he can no longer treat the then President as a private patient because he belonged to Kenyans. When the Presidents leg has a clot, it becomes our leg and our concern. Politics and shenanigans aside, this is a matter of national importance.
