I think most of you know that my wonderful boy Harry is a rescue dog. I have gone on to volunteer with the wonderful organisation that rescued him from being put down after he was does in a pound. He has a few serious medical issues including a heart murmur, arthritis and is deaf. Since we have had the support from the rescue has been amazing. They paid well over £700 to his medical bills and are on hand at anytime. Because they are so good its the reason I volunteered to help. They help to rehabilitate and regime many bull terriers through a network of foster and adoptive homes all over the UK. We transport dogs to where they need to be. All this is done without a single person being paid, we do it for the love of the dogs. Its not just the healthy good dogs, they care for all, the sick they try to put right and the disabled (such as the two little zincers you can see in the images) the look for specialised homes for all the while ensuring their medical needs are met. This though does not come free. We do a lot of fund raising to be able to look after these dogs. One way is through an auction where items have been donated that can be added as lots.
