I think my FB friends and family know where I stand on the issue of domestic violence. I agree with Whoopis point. While its true that men should not hit women, it is also true that women should not hit men. These are things that should be taught to our SONS AND DAUGHTERS. If you make the decision to hit another person, you should not be surprised if that person hits you back. Male or female. I am a survivor of horrific domestic violence. But I never hit first. Because I knew the consequences. I was taught, as a child, that if you hit someone, you might get hit back. My parents taught me that every action carries a consequence, be it good or bad. We live in a time where the generations of children after us have no concept of consequences. Our society places no value on this concept. We have become so concerned with shielding our children from harmful or negative things, we have forgotten the learning tool that never changes: CONSEQUENCES. Just one old womans opinion.
