I think no patient feel more helpless than that of SEVERE - TopicsExpress

I think no patient feel more helpless than that of SEVERE BREATHELESSNESS due to any cause. Air air everywhere Not a grasp to breathe... Dear fellow Medical officers, it is we who face them most. Mega practitioners usually have no much time to be with those pts to check whether they are improving. It is the junior doctors who works round the clock. They knows no nights, no days. They have little rest. While working in clinics most of the time it is very late to bed with frequent interruptions of sleep. Not only the doctor but his staff too are the sufferers. In such working environment clinics always try to avoid Risky patients in order to bypass unwanted events. But it is you more than whom there is none so humane. Please never refer such a breatheless patient without primary care. A good counselling of urs can help mob understand the situation, make them clear that u r just trying to help him breathe so that he may get a chance to reach higher centre. A simple Oxygen driven nebulization, 200mg of Hydrocortisone, few ampoules of Frusemide and or few Nitroglycerine, ACEi/ARB pills can save a Life... . . . . If u feel disturbed/bored/irritated please imagine your parents or yourself gasping for a little air... Tonight at 4 am, an officer of a group of companies whose family is far away came with such a want of air... We all helped him breathe...
