I think one of the most annoying noises in the world is that caused by the Emergency Broadcast System blurting in on my show every three to four minutes, telling me there is a flash flood watch in South Carolina. First of all, I dont live in South Carolina. Secondly, if Im watching tv at my house in Mount Holly, chances are good that Im not going to drive into a flash flood, and if I were out driving, I wouldnt see or hear that warning to begin with. It would be different if it didnt come on every couple of minutes. :/
