I think one trait that we all share is curiosity. We love to know why. Some of us more that others but, we all want to know why. Now, in this world of free-flowing and complex information that we live in today, we need something even more than answers to why. We now need answers that are at least as complex as the questions we pose. In others words, we are not usually happy with a one word answer to our hundred word question. Therein lies the beauty of this song. Throughout this song, we hear some complex questions. Who has stretched out the skies like a canvas? Who has broken the chains of the captives? Some of these questions seem to be directed at the physical world while some are more spiritual in nature. The one thing that all of these questions have in common is suprising. They all have a one word answer. God. Yet, I am not dissatisfied in this answer, not in the least. This is because God is THE complex one word answer. He is inexplicable, yet totally fulfilling.
