I think people are getting the misconceptions about my post on Brooke and I want to be clear. Brooke has improved from her surgery, but she is still fighting the Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer). It still is a very aggressive cancer and there is NO CURE available for this type of Cancer. They took the main tumor out, but unfortunately the cancer is still very much in her body and we are hopeful that it isnt spreading. The doctors are looking at new treatment because she didnt do well on the chemotherapy treatment. So if I say she is doing good it means she is holding her own. She doesnt look like hell when she was going thru chemotherapy and she isnt vomiting every day. I hope people understand that this childhood cancer she has ONLY 400 Kids get this type of cancer and its a shame that they only really look at chemotherapy treatment to help kill it right now. Her new doctors are looking to do other alternative treatments like gene therapy, immune therapy, vaccinations, and diet which all of these are very very expensive. So please I ask that you read a little more about this type cancer to help follow her case. There needs to be MORE research done for childhood cancers!!! We are trying to raise awareness because so many people dont know about it and Brooke is fighting every single day to live!! We hope you will join us in letting people know about Brookes Osteosarcoma and help us raise money for her so she can get the treatment she needs to live!!
