I think people dont knw the difference between Heritage,Culture and Tradition - these are 3 different things : * Heritage - is something that belongs to you by reason of birth (genetic) etc : e.g - yr dad is a Pedi, yr mum is a Tswana - yu are a mix from birth. * Culture - is defined as the BEHAVIOUR and BELIEFS of a particular social,ethnic or age group,as well as the ways of living built up by a group from one generation to another . * Tradition - is the handing down of statements,beliefs,legends,customs,information etc from generation to generation ,especially by word of mouth or by practise. These are just different things but yet interlaced within eachother. Today is Heritage day not cultural or traditional day.
