I think people get so butthurt over eschatology because it isnt scripture that determines their view, but their sociopolitical views. Its a strange amalgam of pseudoChristianity mixed with flawed perceptions, from which oozes a fetid ungodly eschatologucal view from which they will not depart. This isnt isolated to premillinialism, but goes for amil and Postmil. The inherent arrogance floods some otherwise good and noble Christians because of a subject we inherently cannot know or fully understamd, and it becomes a pivotal issue causing a lack of fellowship between parties that actually fundamentally agree on essentials. You see it in all sides, each looking down on the others, because they are so articulate about something they cant know. Ive done it, and i still do it sometimes, but more and more im convicted about it. Anyone else?
