I think some local businesses need to be reminded about CUSTOMER SERVICE! Its all well and good having a competition to encourage customers to shop in your store, however you need to also have a friendly face, be helpful and let customers know they can enter the competition, customers shouldnt have to ask if they are eligible or have you got an entry form etc. Aside from the lovely lady from Megs Bookshop who was very friendly, helpful finding the book I wanted but wasnt 100% sure on the name of it and knew exactly what I was talking about, and making me feel special as a customer and handing me an entry form and letting me know I get to enter the competition. The rest of the shops Ive been into Ive had to ask, or there have been no entry forms in site, and not one of them have even mentioned it...happy to take my money though :/
